Korea Tourist Visa Requirements for Filipinos (2025 Updated Checklist)

Planning to travel to South Korea from the Philippines?
Here’s the complete and updated list of Korea tourist visa requirements (2025) that you need to prepare before applying.

All documents must be original unless otherwise stated. Print everything on A4 paper using Arial font size 12.

1. Philippine Passport
–   Valid for more than 6 months
–   Signed on Page 3
–   At least two blank visa pages
–   Torn/mutilated passports are not accepted

2. Photocopy of Passport Bio Page (Page 2 with signature on Page 3)
3. Old Passport (if with travel stamps)
4. Photocopy of valid & previous visas (USA, Canada, UK, Schengen, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Korea)
5. One (1) pc Passport-size colored photo (white background, collared shirt)

6. Visa Application Form

–   Printed on A4 paper, Arial font size 12
–   Must be electronically/computer-generated (use Adobe PDF editor or equivalent)
–   Use ALL CAPS (capital letters) when filling out.
–   If a question does not apply → leave it blank (do NOT write “N.A.”)
–   Tick answers using the check symbol (✔) only.
–   Only the signature should be handwritten in black ink.
–   The Embassy may not accept forms with improperly filled out, no signature, or errors.
–   If you submit it with incorrect or false information, it may result in the denial of your application.

7. Data Privacy Consent Form

8. Original Birth Certificate (PSA)
9. Marriage Certificate (MC) if the applicant is married
Note: The PSA Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate are accepted even if not issued within the same year.

10. Original Bank Certificate
–   Must include account type, current balance, account opening date, and Six (6) months ADB
–   Valid for 3 months from the date of issue
–   Recommended balance: ₱100,000+

11. Bank Statements/Passbook (original or certified true copy, last 6 months)

12. Latest ITR (Income Tax Return)
–   Form 2316 (employed) / Form 1701 or 1702 (self-employed)
–   If no ITR, submit a notarized affidavit of explanation

13. Travel Agency Waiver

Additional Requirements if Employed
–   Certificate of Employment (with position, date hired, salary, office address, HR landline & email)
–   Company ID (photocopy)
–   Approved Leave of Absence (for government employees)
–   PRC/IBP ID (if applicable)

Additional Requirements if Business Owner / Self-Employed
–   DTI or SEC Registration (photocopy, include stockholders’ page if SEC)
–   Mayor’s/Business Permit (photocopy)
–   Latest ITR (Form 1701/1702)

Additional Requirements for Housewives/Househusbands
–   Affidavit of Support
–   Spouse’s Employment/Business Documents
–   PSA Marriage Certificate

Additional Requirements for Students
–   School Certificate of Enrollment (original, not registration form/receipt)
–   School ID (photocopy)
–   PSA Birth Certificate (original)
–   PSA Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
–   Affidavit of Support
–   If parents are not applying together: a copy of parents’ passports/visas
–   If supported by relatives other than parents:
     –   Notarized Affidavit of Support
     –   Financial documents of the supporter
     –   Proof of relationship (siblings, grandparents, uncle/aunt)
     –   Parents’ financial documents are still required

Additional Requirements for Retirees
–   Senior Citizen ID (photocopy)

Special Situations
–    If self-employed without business permits → provide proof (social media page, contracts, online articles/posters)
–    Nanny/PA/Caregiver → must apply together with employer (attach contract/affidavit)
–   If unable to submit a document → provide a Letter of Explanation.
