3D2N Singapore Itinerary Guide: a little red dot with lots of things to do and see

Singapore

Best Singapore places, activities, and food to experience now!

With COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions finally being eased, vaccinated Filipinos will finally be able to travel to Singapore after close to two years of border closures.

The Lion City may be small but it is jam-packed with attractions and cuisines to whet one’s appetite, all rolled-up in a neat albeit vibrant cosmopolitan package that is ready to face the world head-on after reinventing itself during the global hiatus. ALBRESSA Travel has immediately scanned the archipelago and brought back ideas to spark your wanderlust.

Day One:

1. Jewel Changi Airport

Jewel Changi Airport
Is it a mall, park, or an airport? Singapore’s world-class airport is all three! The Jewel Changi or simply Jewel is an expansion of the already impressive Changi Airport back that was unveiled in 2019. Linked directly to its three passenger terminals, this 10-storey nature-themed entertainment and retail complex is not to be missed! If you have time upon arrival, check out the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, the Rain Vortex, that is right smack in the middle of a terraced forest setting dotted with world-class restaurants and retail outlets.

2. Check-In To Your Hotel

Hotel Chancellor Singapore

Now open to receive tourists, the hotels of Singapore are certified clean in compliance with health protocols. From inns to 5-star hotels like the famous Marina Bay Sands, all budgets are welcome and not just of the crazy rich.

3. Lunch at Albert Centre

Singapore Albert Centre

Once settled in, it’s time to awaken your adventure for a little Singapore spice as you head on over to Albert Centre. 5-10 minutes on food from the Bugis MRT station, Albert Centre is filled to the brim with local hawkers raring to welcome you to their country and regale you with their proud heritage by way of your palate. Be mindful as some of these humble stalls keep Michelin stars under their belts!

4. Gardens By The Bay

Gardens By The Bay

Gardens By The Bay is a favorite in Singapore. The Supertree groves are a sight to behold while walking around the two conservatories – the world’s largest greenhouse at 1.2 hectares, the Flower Dome, is filled with year-round seasonal flowers from other countries as it replicates a cool-dry Mediterranean climate; and the Cloud Forest, home to one of the world’s largest indoor waterfalls which greets you up in front and tropical plants scavenged from all around the globe. The Garden Rhapsody light and sound show that commences every night is also one that is not to be missed in this part of MBS.

5. ArtScience Museum

ArtScience Museum
ArtScience Museum

A museum within the integrated resort of Marina Bay Sands in the Downtown Core of the Central Area, the ArtScience Museum beckons on your artsy adventure that will feed your IG and FB stories. An iconic cultural landmark in Singapore with 21 kid-friendly gallery spaces, explore a world where the line between art and science are blurred. Immerse yourself in an otherworldly experience the moment you step in as you frolic through an animated forest, a musical playground, and an aquarium where your scribbles come to life! The Crystal World lit with 17000 led lights was a crowd favorite. This museum will not only transport you to another world but also through space and time!

6. Marina Bay Sands Skypark

Marina Bay Sands Skypark

57 floors above-ground is the best place to get a selfie. The Marina Bay Sands Observation Deck will give you an epic DP especially when you get there when the sun sets as you witness it disappearing behind the SG skyline with a multitude of colors bursting into the sky as the city lights begin to glitter and rival it right after nightfall.

7. Spectra: A Light & Water Show

Marina Bay Sands Spectra Light Show

A free, 15-minute light and water show is one of the well-attended attractions in Marina Bay Sands. Located in the Promenade at Marina Bay, it is a dazzling symphony of dancing fountain jets, colourful visual projections, advanced lasers, and lava and mist effects — all led by a 4-part orchestral soundtrack. Note: come early to get a great spot as the Event Plaza gets really packed with spectators. Showtimes are at 8pm & 9m for Sunday-Thursday and 8pm, 9pm, &10pm for Fridays and Saturdays.

Day Two:

1. City Tour

Singapore City Tour

Drive pass Suntec City & Singapore Flyer, Photostop at Merlion Park and Thian Hock Keng Temple (Chinatown), and lastly to Gardens by the Bay – Directly facing Marina Bay Sands, the highlight of this City Tour is the Photostop at the Merlion Park. This is where you get a great vantage point that shows many of the Singapore attractions in one shot with the iconic SG Merlion in the foreground with you.

2. S.E.A Aquarium

S.E.A. Aquarium Singapore

Grouped in 10 zones with over 50 habitats and over 100,000 marine animals such as dolphins, manta rays, sharks, jellyfish, and beautiful corals, the S.E.A. Aquarium is a popular attraction housed in Resorts World Sentosa. The Open Ocean Habitat is our favorite. Not only is it the biggest aquarium but you get to see a lot of marine life unfolding right before your very eyes as if you’re undersea yourself!

3. Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore

One of only six Universal Studios theme parks around the world, Universal Studios Singapore  features 28 rides, shows, and attractions spread across six exciting themed zones: Hollywood, Far Far Away, The Lost World, Ancient Egypt, Sci-Fi City, and New York. Make sure to never miss the Transformers 3D ride. You won’t regret it!

4. Dinner at Newton Food Centre

Singapore Newton Food Center

Right at the Newton MRT Station is the Newton Food Centre. Fill yourself with local cuisine as this place has a multitude of hawkers to choose from. Opt to come early for dinner as the the bestsellers (read: Michelin star awardees) usually run out as the crowd comes in as food here is friendly on the pocket as it is good.

Day Three:

Singapore Arab Street

Located in the Kampong Glam area, this place is lined with shops selling Yemeni goods and curry restaurants. Your Singapore vacation will not be complete without visiting Arab Street. It is easily accessible by car or a 2-minute walk from Jln Sultan MRT Station.
