Switzerland Tourist Visa Requirements for Filipinos (2025 Updated Checklist)

Here’s the complete and updated list of Switzerland tourist visa requirements (2025) that Filipino travelers need to prepare before applying.

All documents must be type-written, signed in wet ink, and printed on A4 paper using Arial font size 12.
All documents must be original unless otherwise stated.

1. Valid Passport
–   Must be issued within the last 10 years
–   Must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended stay
–   Must have at least two (2) blank pages
–   Torn or damaged passports will not be accepted

2. Photocopy of Passport
–   Bio page
–   Pages showing visas and entry/exit stamps

3. Passport Photos
–   Sample Photo for Reference – [Download here]
–   Two (2) colored photos (size 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)
–   White background, taken within the last 3 months
–   The head should occupy 70–80% of the frame
–   No black-and-white photos

4. PSA Birth Certificate
5. Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
6. Birth Certificate of Children (if applicable)
7. Old or Previous Passport (bio and used pages)

8. Schengen Visa Application Form

–   Must be completely and correctly filled out
–   Signed in wet ink by the applicant
–   Printed on A4 paper

9. Travel Insurance
–   Must cover at least €30,000 (Thirty Thousand Euros)
–   Must be valid in all Schengen countries, including Switzerland
–   Should cover medical emergencies, hospitalization, and repatriation

Financial Requirements

11. Bank Certificate
–   Must include account type, opening date, current balance, and 6-month average daily balance

12. Bank Statements or Passbook (last 6 months, stamped by the bank)

13. Latest ITR (Income Tax Return)
–   Form 2316 (employed) / Form 1701 or 1702 (self-employed)

14. For Employed Applicants:
–   Certificate of Employment (COE). Must be notarized and include: Full name, position, and passport number, Date hired and monthly salary, Office address, HR contact details, and Approved leave dates
–   Payslips for the last 3 months
–   Company ID (photocopy)
–   Approved Leave of Absence

15. For Self-Employed Applicants:
–   DTI or SEC Registration (with Articles of Incorporation for corporations)
–   Mayor’s/Business Permit
–   Latest ITR (Form 1701/1702)
–   Financial Statement (if applicable)

16. For Freelancers:
–   Proof of freelance work (contracts, payment history, online platform screenshots, or client letters)

17. For Retirees:
–   Senior Citizen ID (photocopy)
–   Pension Statement (last 6 months)
–   Proof of income from properties or investments (if applicable)
–   Land Titles or Property Documents (photocopy)

18. For Students:
–   School Certificate of Enrollment (original)
–   School ID (photocopy)
–   Birth Certificate (PSA)
–   Certificate of Leave of Absence (if traveling during school period)
–   Proof of Enrollment for Next Semester (if traveling during summer)
–   Affidavit of Support
–  Parents’ or Sponsor’s Financial Documents

19. For Minors:
–   Application Form signed by both parents
–   Notarized Parental Consent to Travel
–   DSWD or Family Court Order (if with sole custody)
–   Government-issued IDs of parents or guardians (UMID, Driver’s License, PhilHealth, or Passport)

For Sponsored Applicants
–   Sponsorship Letter / Affidavit of Support (notarized)
–   Must state the sponsor’s full name, contact details, and relationship with the applicant

If the sponsor is a Swiss resident:
–   Submit proof of relationship (birth or marriage certificate)
–   Photocopy of sponsor’s passport (bio page)
–   Photocopy of residence permit (if not a Swiss citizen)
–   Letter of Invitation stating:
    •   Full address and contact number of the sponsor
    •   Duration and purpose of stay
    •   Who will shoulder travel and living expenses

If sponsored by boyfriend/girlfriend, fiancé, or friend:
–   Photos together and other proof of the relationship
–   Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) if applicable
–   PSA Death Certificate if widowed
